Privacy policy
SixHub has no account, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. Only what you choose to send, a question to Sol or a message to us, reaches our server.

SixHub is an unofficial companion app for GTA 6 on iPhone. It’s made by Vectorlight Labs. This page explains what happens to your data when you use it. The short version: we don’t collect personal data, and the only things we receive from you are what you choose to send: a question to Sol, the AI guide, or a message through Ideas & bugs.
The short version
- We collect no personal data. There’s no account to create.
- There’s no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising and no tracking.
- Your progress and settings stay on your iPhone.
- The app downloads its maps, cheats and wiki from our content server, which runs on Cloudflare. The request carries no identifier.
- Creator videos come from YouTube through the YouTube API Services, and news headlines from gaming outlets’ public feeds. Both reach the app through our server, with no identifier.
- SixHub Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details.
- Sol, the AI guide, is optional and off until you agree to its notice. When you ask it something, your question goes to our server and to Anthropic, which writes the answer. We don’t keep your questions unless you report an answer.
- Ideas & bugs is optional too. If you send a message, we keep it with your app version for 180 days so we can read it.
What stays on your device
The app keeps a few things on your iPhone so it works the way you expect:
- your progress: the places you’ve visited and the secrets you’ve found
- your StreetCred points, check-in streak and rank
- your daily quiz answers (the last few days only)
- your bookmarks and game checklists
- your favourite cheats
- the controller you chose (PS5 or Xbox) and whether Sol may discuss spoilers
- whether you’ve set the launch-day reminder
- a copy of the latest content, the video and news lists, and downloaded art, so the app works offline.
These are stored in the app’s own storage on your device. They’re never sent to us.
The launch-day reminder
If you ask for a reminder, the app schedules one local notification on your iPhone for the morning of release day using Apple’s notifications. It’s set and delivered on your device; no server is involved and we don’t know whether you use it. SixHub sends no other notifications.
Downloading content
When you open the app, it fetches a public content file (the maps, cheats, guides and wiki) from sixhub-content.vectorlightlabs.com, which is delivered by Cloudflare. The request contains no account, device ID or other identifier; it’s the same file for everyone.
Like any web server, Cloudflare processes your IP address and basic request details, such as the file requested, the time and your device type. It does this to deliver the file and to protect the service from abuse. We don’t use these details to identify you, and we don’t run analytics on them. Cloudflare handles this data under its own privacy policy.
Creator videos (YouTube)
SixHub shows recent videos about GTA 6 from a hand-picked list of YouTube creators. It uses the YouTube API Services to do this. By using this part of the app, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.
- Our server asks YouTube for the creators’ latest public videos (titles, thumbnails, view counts) about every 30 minutes, and the app downloads that list from our server. That request carries no identifier.
- The video thumbnails load directly from YouTube’s image server (i.ytimg.com), so Google receives your IP address and basic request details when they load.
- Tapping a video opens it in the YouTube app or in Safari. From then on, YouTube and Google handle your data as they would for any visit to YouTube.
SixHub never signs in to YouTube, never asks for access to your Google or YouTube account, and stores no YouTube data about you. Google’s use of data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
News headlines
SixHub lists headlines about GTA 6 from major gaming outlets. Our server reads the outlets’ public news feeds; the app downloads the list from our server, with no identifier. Each headline’s picture loads directly from that outlet’s servers, so the outlet receives your IP address and basic request details. Tapping a headline opens the article in a browser inside the app (Safari), where the outlet’s own privacy policy applies.
Wallpapers
When you save a wallpaper, the app asks iOS for permission to add photos. It can only add to your library: it can’t see your photos. The wallpaper downloads from our content server, with no identifier.
SixHub Pro
SixHub Pro is an optional one-time purchase. Payment is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store; we never see your name, email address or payment details. The app checks with Apple on your device whether Pro is unlocked. Apple’s privacy policy covers the purchase.
If a Pro purchase is refunded or revoked, Apple tells our server. We then keep a note against that purchase’s transaction ID, so Sol stops counting it as Pro. The note holds no name or contact details.
Sol, the AI guide
SixHub 1.1 adds Sol, an AI guide you can ask about the game. It’s optional, and it stays off until you agree to a notice in the app. Sol is part of SixHub Pro, with 3 free questions per Apple Account.
What’s sent when you ask Sol a question:
- your question, plus up to the last 6 messages of that chat, so follow-up questions make sense
- Apple’s signed proof that the app was installed from the App Store (an “AppTransaction”). It contains an anonymous ID that Apple assigns to SixHub for your Apple Account.
- if you bought SixHub Pro, Apple’s signed proof of that purchase (a transaction ID).
No name, email address, account or device contact details are sent. Please don’t put personal information in your questions.
Where it goes:
- Our server, a Cloudflare Worker at api.vectorlightlabs.com, checks Apple’s proofs and counts your questions.
- Anthropic writes the answer using its Claude API, working from SixHub’s own published content. Anthropic processes your question on our behalf, under its own privacy policy.
What we keep:
- a count of questions for each install, keyed to Apple’s anonymous ID. For free installs we keep it so the 3 free questions don’t reset. For Pro, it’s a daily count that expires after 2 days.
- a total of what the day’s AI answers cost us.
We don’t store your questions or Sol’s answers. The one exception is when you tap Report on an answer: then we keep that question, the answer and the reason you chose for 90 days, to review them and improve the guide.
None of this is used for advertising or tracking, and none of it is sold.
Ideas & bugs
In Settings → Ideas & bugs you can send us a short message. It’s optional. What’s sent:
- your message and whether it’s an idea or a bug
- your app version
- Apple’s signed proof of the install (the same anonymous ID described under Sol), which we use only to limit each install to 5 messages a day.
No name, email address or account is sent, so we can’t reply to you. Please don’t put personal information in your message. We keep each message for 180 days, then it’s deleted automatically.
Third parties
The only outside services involved are:
- Cloudflare, to deliver the content file and to run our server (Sol, Ideas & bugs, the video and news lists)
- Apple, for app downloads, the Pro purchase and the launch reminder
- Anthropic, to write Sol’s answers, only when you ask Sol a question
- Google (YouTube), for the creator video list, its thumbnails and the videos you choose to watch
- News outlets, whose headline pictures load from their servers and whose articles you choose to open.
There are no advertising, analytics or tracking services in the app. We don’t sell or rent any data.
How long data is kept
Everything the app stores lives on your device until you delete the app or reset your progress in Settings. We keep no copy on our side.
If you use Sol, we keep only what’s described above: question counts (for Pro, expiring after 2 days), the day’s total cost, and reported answers for 90 days. Messages sent through Ideas & bugs are kept for 180 days. Daily limits on reports and messages are counted per install and expire after 2 days.
Deleting your data
Open Settings in the app and tap Reset map progress to clear your progress. Deleting the app removes everything it stored on your device. If you never use Sol or Ideas & bugs, there’s nothing held by us to delete.
Children
SixHub is a companion for a game rated for adults. It isn’t aimed at children, and we don’t collect personal data from anyone, children included.
Your rights
If you’re in India, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 gives you rights over your personal data, including the right to access, correct and erase it. People elsewhere have similar rights, for example under the EU and UK GDPR or California law.
We don’t hold your name or contact details, so there’s usually little for us to access, correct or delete. You’re still welcome to email us with any question or request, and we’ll reply.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the “Last updated” date. If a change is material, for example if the app starts collecting something new, we’ll update this page before that app change ships.
Who we are
